WWE: star big Cass nearing return to raw just six months after tearing ACL during fight with Enzo Amore.

WWE superstar Big Cass is nearing a return to Raw after six months out with a torn ACL.

The towering 7-footer, real name William Morrissey, suffered the devastating blow on live TV during a match against his former tag partner Enzo Amore in August.

But PW Insider report that he has recently been spotted working out at the WWE Performance Centre in Florida.

And that "he looks to be in great shape and is walking around without any assistance".

Cass picked up the injury just as the wrestling promotion were starting to give him a huge push.

During the bout with Amore, he missed his opponent with a charge and went flying over the top rope.



The 30-year-old landed awkwardly on his left leg after it twisted the wrong way.

Brave Cass did manage to make it back into the ring and hit a bodyslam on Amore before informing the referee of his problem.

He then attempted to hit the Empire Elbow but his knee buckled as he came off the ropes, causing him to go down before paramedics entered the scene - leading to Amore being named the winner due to the referee's stoppage.

As the cameras went off air Cass tried to walk out of the arena unattended but was unable to as officials held him up en route to the back.

WWE Dr Chris Robinson stated at the time that the giant was due to be out of action for upto nine months after undergoing surgery in Birmingham, Alabama.

Although there are no reports of him taking any bumps inside the ring at the moment, fans will be hopeful the news of him being back working out means a Raw return is not too far away.

And no doubt Cass will praying that WWE gives him medical clearance in time for WrestleMania 34.
